NEW DATE FOR CEM22: 1st – 2nd April 2022

Dear Colleagues,

The new Central European Meeting (CEM22) will take place on 1st – 2nd April 2022 in Vienna, Austria!

For almost 2 decades, CEM garnered its reputation as the platform to feature dynamic work of urologists within and beyond the region. Without breaking tradition, the Scientific Programme of the upcoming CEM22 promises to deliver significant urological updates, tackle controversial issues and clinical dilemmas.

Boost your know-how by participating in courses on urologic oncology, fusion biopsy, and flexible endourology on day one. Then in the afternoon, fine-tune your writing and presentation skills to maximize the impact of your research when you disseminate it to colleagues.

Day two will include lectures and debates on the hottest topics in Urology from Uro oncology to urolithiasis to BPH. It will include the European School of Urology course on recurrent and oligo metastatic prostate cancer as well as an inspiring European Association of Urology (EAU) lecture from Arnulf Stenzl.

The CEM22 Young Urologist Competition will highlight the talent of promising urologists. The uro-oncology session, state-of-the-art lectures on core urology topics, and poster sessions, will bring you key urology essential for your daily clinical practice. Under the tutelage expert urological surgeons, you will further your learning during workshops and hands-on training organized by the Central European Urologic Society (CEUS).

There is plenty for you look forward to at CEM22. It would be a pleasure to welcome you in the Austrian capital for a highly-informative and productive meeting!

The latest in the field

In the fast-moving world of Urology the CEM22 will keep you updated on the latest developments, breakthroughs and emerging techniques. It is the Central European platform for sharing knowledge and experience, continuous learning and capacity building in Urology. An exhibition showcases all the latest therapies, instruments and services.

Addressing controversies in Urology

Conferences are informative, but there is often only limited time for thorough and critical discussions. CEM22 provides a platform for Central European experts to discuss and compare experiences, thus closing the gap between the expansion of knowledge and its dissemination and use. The core of CEM22 is to focus on highly debatted unresolved issues. We aim to provide the most recent data empowering the clinician with reliable, up-to-date scientific information to improve everyday patient care.

A message from the president

Dear colleagues and friends!

Scientific meetings are at the heart of an erudite physicians’ professional life since they provide an invaluable opportunity for learning, networking, and exploring.  In addition, meetings are enjoyable experiences where we meet like-minded colleagues that add exciting breaks to the usual routine.  Despite the globalization and simplification of knowledge exchange, there is a continuous need for regional meetings with a distinct local social and educational mission.

The Central European Meeting (CEM) has been a successful platform for urologic science and education for countries in central Europe.  From its inception on, it served as a stage for sharing knowledge and know-how between central European countries.

We, the members of the urologic societies of central Europe, believe that the CEM continues to be of high value to our constituency, the urologists of central Europe.  We, therefore, decided, in a concerted effort, to re-organize the CEM in a modern structure to meet the ever-evolving regional urologic health, education, and scientific needs.  To this end, we plan to forge, with and for the future generations of central European urologists, a constructive and vibrant CEM.

The new mission of the CEM will, therefore, be to serve as a platform for knowledge transfer, experience exchange, continuous learning, and capacity building in order to empower the next generation of urologic leaders in central Europe.

We believe in the next generations of urologists and dedicate the CEM22 to them!
